In the Lap of the Gods- not!

Sometimes life comes along and gives us one almighty kick in the tush….you're going about doing your best, bogged down in family problems, work, relationships, that running commentary in your head reminding you to send a parcel, ring a relative, defrost the meat, book an appointment and you simply don't see it coming -THWACK!! What the hell just happened? What?! What do you mean I've got to go to hospital? I'm going to lose my job? My car's a write-off? Of course it doesn't have to be a major event that knocks you sideways. Maybe a friend has betrayed you....there's a rumour going around about you that simply isn't true....or you didn't get the job you desperately wanted … or something more mundane like your favourite programme is ending.....It just takes one meaningful thing to knock you sideways and leave you stunned. We are supposed to get right back up, dust ourselves down and carry on. Normal service resumed. But that isn't always possible; we are humans not autobots. And it isn't always easy to process change or hurt. So what happens? Well, we often fall prey to the victim mentality, justifying our actions, laying the blame at someone or something else's feet. "I worked so damn hard for that company and look how they treated me...", " I thought we were friends. What's her problem?" Whilst that feels natural and even soothing at the time, there's one major problem. It makes us buy into a loser mindset that tells us 'This has happened to me and there's nothing I can do about it.' If we're not able to find a solution or process what has happened , it feel like life is happening to us rather than us making life work for us. And recognising this shift in outlook is key to regaining control. When people come to see me for hypnotherapy, I remind them that the problem is never the real problem. Phobias, fears, anxiety, depression, sleep problems. and more are often the result of unprocessed issues. Things, feelings, events that have happened to people and not been resolved. We push so much out of our mind, but the subconscious always remembers. When there are too many unresolved experiences, your body will push back. Hypnotherapy is a proven way to unlock your hidden fears. A proven way to effortlessly regain control of your life in a way that is meaningful for you. Help yourself to work out what has happened to you, what you want to fix and decide where you want your life to go next.
